Friday! It doesn't seem like Friday because I had a different day off this week and we had rain in the middle of the week. For some reason I feel like rain is all weekend thing. I don't know why...
So today I worked pastry again! I like working. I wake up at 4:30 in the morning, drive the 20 minutes that work, is actually shorter because no one is usually out that early, then I get to help me pastries, then I get to leave. It's nice to work pastry because I don't have to stop what I'm doing to help somebody. I get to work on projects, talk with Heather or Charlotte, and that's it. It's nice to just be on my own and work from project to project, not having to stop. I like helping people all the time, but when it comes to work, I love pastry and I would rather do that than be in the front.
When I got back from work, of course I took a nap. I'm more tired than usual so I take a lot of naps. But I also like to think I am productive. I called some people about pregnancy info and also try to figure out some other important events coming up.
We also went to a ward activity! The Relief Society put together dinner groups and we went over to another couple's home and they made the main dish, we brought salad, and we picked up Lourena, who brought cookies. Glenn was working so we just picked her up and it was the five of us. We are at Paris and Nick Vail's home. We hadn't met them before but they were super nice and Lourena of course is so fun. It was easy to talk when you're getting to know each other because everyone just starts with the basics. So we got to know a little about everyone. There are so many people in the ward it's kind of sad to think we may not have met them anytime soon without this opportunity. So, I'm going to try harder to meet new people at church. I'm off to a good start because I do already know many people because I do talk often, but hey, I can always improve.
All the dinner groups met at the church after, for dessert. We continued to talk with the Vails a bit, talked with Danielle and Phil for a moment, then left not long after they did. It was a great day overall...
With this activity, it kind of reminded me of Christ going and looking for the One. None of us went to look for the one necessarily, but I feel as though the Relief Society is working with those who could participate, which is great, to work with those who can and are willing, but I thought, "You know, maybe one of these couples could be the One." You never really know because people aren't just going to unload their troubles and worries on people they don't know... But that's our purpose, to help everyone because we never really will know who the One is... so by helping everyone, we have a good shot at helping the One at some point, and helping a lot of other people in the process receive the light of Christ in their lives, which hey, who doesn't need a little more of that?! :)
